     Rick and I met in August 1999 in Lubbock, TX when we returned to school at Texas Tech.  I moved into a new dorm, and he was friends with the girls that lived across from my room.  The girls and I would eat dinner with Rick and his friends in the dining hall, and we all would hang out, play volleyball and watch movies.  Rick and officially started dating after an exciting night of bowling.  We continued dating even when Rick moved back to Houston after he graduated in 2002 while I stayed in Lubbock to complete my master’s degree.

     We had dated for 3 years when Rick proposed on January 18, 2002 at the Water Wall in Houston, TX.  We had to continue the long-distance romance while I completed graduate school and he worked in Houston, but we got married on June 21, 2003 in Albuquerque, NM.  After the wedding we honeymooned in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and I moved to Humble, TX where we just bought a house.  A few months later, we added to our new family with the adoption of our dog, Tooley.  Both Rick and I are working in Houston, and in our free time we enjoy working on the house, traveling, kayaking, and camping.
